The Nut Letters: What People Are Saying About Coconuts

Well, mostly emails, a few letters and some guest comments upon checking out. No matter how it comes to us, I want to say thanks for the time and effort that you have taken to let us know about your experiences at Coconuts. Please send us your email address to receive future issues via email. Read and enjoy! Tautai

  • Just to say that two jet lagged but very happy nuts from the UK are already pining to be back in our Fale watching the sunset or enjoying one of Mika’s fabulous meals. We treasure so many memories. What fun it was. We loved our church visit – kind Lina taking us to the Catholic one and our walk back with an invitation to visit a family. I only wish I could bottle the memories and show everyone how fabulously you have created an idyll incorporating the local people and without intrusion into their way of life. Don’t let it change PLEASE and thank you Lina, Ned and Mika for looking after us so well.

  • First of all a very big thank you for making our wedding so special. Everything was so well organized and very stress free … Mika – what can we say – the most spectacular lobster in the world. Our whole stay at Coconuts was brilliant. Every single thing was perfect. Thanks once again for an amazing holiday and a very special wedding.

  • Talofa Everyone at Coconuts Beach Club; … it is a pleasure to tell you what a wonderful time we had during our two week stay … Barry & Jennifer, our compliments on your beautiful resort – it exceeded our expectations (and they were high). Mika – you wacky wizard of fine food – the dining was fantastic… fine food is always high on our list of priorities and this time we really lucked in. The Coconuts Meal Deal is second to none! To sum up, the things we liked the most about Coconuts are the people, the food and Fale E. On a scale of 1 to 10 we do not hesitate in giving Coconuts and overall rating of 10. We look forward to becoming returning Nuts.

  • Well, getting back to normality was very hard after our holiday at Coconuts … It took a couple of days to get into the Samoan Way but we did find it. Lina, could you please send me the address of the church we went to with Ned? I would like to send a message of thanks for the lunch and the good time we had there.

  • Greetings! What a treat to receive such a newsletter, even after a year post visit. How often the kids and I recount our tremendous holiday with you folks. Out of all our extensive travels, I think that Samoa trip was the tops.

  • Hi Barry! It’s nice to hear from you through the Internet, now. And many thanks for the good news from your spot of the world, where insanity seems not yet to have creeped in. Hope that you can keep it that way! A couple of weeks ago, we had a film on TV showing the life of Samoans and one of your key employees had the prime role. It was very nice to be reminded of your lovely place.

  • Talofa to all of You! Dear Jennifer & Barry! Thank you for the wonderful week in the COCONUTS, our 2.stay in the PARADISE was sensational. We must return to Samoa and see it again. Now in Hungary its winter, snow, frost and we think back on the FALE F, the beautiful beach, Mika’s restaurant, the lovely Samoan music, wonderful dance, the Sunday church and the smiling friendly Samoans. We have told everyone about COCONUTS.

  • Hi Barry, Greetings from Canada – there is snow on the ground outside! The recent arrival of COCO NEWS NUTS was very timely because we have just been planning a return visit to Paradise! We stayed with you in 2000 & have long wanted to come back to Coconuts. … Last time we stayed in Fale C and that would be fine if it is available. I believe we get a discount for returning guests? Hoping to see you again soon.

  • Thanks for another interesting annual letter. Your comments on the contrast between your “Paradise” and the dysfunctional world in which many of us live was very apt. Long may your peaceful corner survive and prosper. It is some years since we enjoyed your hospitality and the luxury of the overwater fale. It was a special time with you.
